"It is one of those royal portraits, painted for the next generations to be remembered by. The Elven royal family of Cúthalion portrait was painted shortly after second prince Astaldo's birth. The crown prince, Anton, had some trouble staying still but was in the end kept entertained during the long painting progress with a quick put up puppet show behind the painter's back, attracting the boy's attention there for the meanwhile. The stories were mostly about his father beating down a huge human army by himself when simple fairy tale stories didn't appeal to adventurous little boy's mind. His father sure was pleased by this while the queen held her youngest one close that slept most of the time."

I took my sweet time with this. I dont remember when I started... But yeah, less than two week at least? The coloring took forever to perfect to what it is now, a real practice piece I suppose, facing the fact that it could be a lot better but maybe Ill achieve that someday. I wish I could've been able to express Aran's obsession with music boxes, but I couldn't make this into a symbolic mess. Maybe later. I hate having these patience and time consuming ideas, even such as "simple" as perhaps sketching out a music box room, for I have trouble getting them done, just like we all do I'm sure. At least this is done now and I'm rather pleased with it. I have such an love hate relationship with elven designs, it's kind of complicated, my brains are too human... What the heck am I supposed to do now..?
